KK Real Beograd achieved the greatest success in its history so far, as it became the champion of the Quality League in the junior competition!

In the final tournament, Real recorded all three victories – against BKK Radnički (74:71), Paragon (81:77) and Bek (100:94, after overtime).

The final clash with Beka, who entered the same, also, after two victories, was for a “heart attack”.

Real had a double-digit advantage, then the home team came back and gained a three-point lead a few seconds before the end. Real’s captain Sergej Vujcic hit a three-pointer after the time-out to go into extra time, where the popular Kings were in the lead all the time and eventually triumphed 100:94 to the great celebration of the whole team.

The trophy was won before the eyes of Gurović, who did not hide his enthusiasm. He celebrated on the field and congratulated each player and coach individually, and then said:

“We are very happy and satisfied. It was a phenomenal game, Beka’s team is extremely high-quality and it would not be undeserved if they won the cup. I congratulate my boys on a great fight, they burned until the last moment and in the end they were rewarded with a trophy. I believe that this is just the beginning of Real’s trophy era – said the famous Serbian representative excitedly.

This trophy becomes even more important if you know that Real’s junior team is mostly made up of cadets, players born in 2009, who obviously have a bright future ahead of them.

After winning the Belgrade Quality League, Real juniors go to the final tournament with representatives of other regions of Serbia.

Their rivals in Niš will be hosted by KK Ratnici, KK Železničar from Inđija and KK Napredak from Kruševac.

Also, the fight for the trophy awaits the cadets of Real – Belgrade’s Quality League.
