From Baskonia to Real! A big deal for our club: The son of a legendary Serbian basketball player has joined the team

KK Real Beograd did a great job! He brought reinforcements directly from Spanish Basconia to his ranks.

Our club’s shirt was commissioned by Filip Raičević, an 18-year-old playmaker who spent almost his entire basketball education in Baskonia, a standard Euroleague and multiple champion of Spain.

A member of the junior categories of Serbia, he was in Baskonia for the past five years, and last season he was also on the roster for the Euroleague and the ACB league.

Previously, he defended the colors of Crvena Zvezda for one season, while he took his first basketball steps in BKK Radnički.

The arrival of basketball players from the Euroleague team in the ranks of Real is a great recognition for the work of our club.

Quality and systematic work with young players – three of them (Sajmon Majok, Jovan Ićitović and Dimitrije Kovačević) left Real to some of the most prestigious NCAA universities this summer, and Tadija Stevanović moved to Abaligaš Igokea – was recognized by Raičević and his representatives from the Royal Basketball Agency.

But not only from them. Ivan Rakočević, the son of the legendary Serbian basketball player Igor Rakočević, also became a part of Real.

After playing in the younger selections of Crvena zvezda, a club where Rakočević senior has the status of a legend, it was decided that the junior would continue his career in Real. All with the goal that the heir will achieve an equally great career like his father.

In this way, two Serbian talents will perform for our junior and senior team in the upcoming season.
